The hat also has an added breakaway clip on the chin strap for enhanced safety - if the strap gets caught on something and pulled on the clip with break apart.

Using a soft measuring tape (or piece of string) measure across the mid-forehead around the top of the ears to the back of the head (where a hatband would sit) Keep in mind that the hats can also be tightened by adjusting the drawstring toggle.
